South Africa: Cranberry Market Soars in South Africa - Voluntary

Cranberry consumption and imports are growing in South Africa, with demand for dried cranberries and juice rising among middle-income, health-conscious consumers. South Africa does not produce cranberries commercially and is entirely dependent on imports, mostly from the United States. Exports of cranberry juice from the United States to South Africa are seeing particularly robust growth, rising over 40 percent in 2024. Over the next five years, FAS/Pretoria forecasts steady growth in exports of both U.S. dried cranberries and cranberry juice to South Africa.
