Post reduces its MY 2021/2022 soybean production estimate to 41 million metric tons (MMT), 4 MMT below the official USDA estimate. Despite rains in January which forestalled greater losses, high temperatures and dryness in December and early January caused considerable damage in key growing areas and depleted soil moisture reserves.
Argentina’s raisin production is forecast to remain stable in CY 2021 at 44,000 metric tons (MT) due to favorable weather conditions.
MY2020/21 wheat production is forecast at 17.4 million tons, 8 percent lower than USDA due to weather losses, reducing exports to 11.2 million tons.
2020 Argentine milk production is revised upwards to 11.35 million tons on favorable production conditions.
