U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service Administrator Daniel Whitley arrived in Lima today to begin an agribusiness trade mission to expand market access and boost U.S. agricultural exports to address the $3.66 billion trade deficit with Peru.

Private exporters reported the following sales activity for MY 2024/2025: 120,000 MT of corn for delivery to Spain and 110,000 MT of soybeans for delivery to unknown destinations.

Private exporters reported sales of 240,000 MT of corn for delivery to Spain during MY 2024/2025.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service is accepting applications for its agribusiness trade mission to Lima, Peru, scheduled for June 9-12, 2025. Current and potential U.S. exporters interested in participating must apply by March 12, 2025.

Private exporters reported the following sales activities for MY 2024/2025: 170,400 MT of corn for delivery to Mexico, 187,000 MT of soybeans for delivery to Spain, and 132,000 MT of soybeans for delivery to unknown destinations.

Private exporters reported sales of 110,000 MT of corn for delivery to Spain during MY 2023/2024.

Private exporters reported the following sales activity: 113,050 MT of corn for delivery to Mexico - 56,525 MT for delivery during MY 2023/2024 and 56,525 MT for delivery during MY 2024/2025 - and 110,000 MT of corn for delivery to Spain during MY 2023/2024.
