U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service Administrator Daniel Whitley arrived in Lima today to begin an agribusiness trade mission to expand market access and boost U.S. agricultural exports to address the $3.66 billion trade deficit with Peru.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture Foreign Agricultural Service announced today up to $240 million for the FY 2025 McGovern-Dole International Food for Education and Child Nutrition Program (McGovern-Dole) awards.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service is accepting applications for its agribusiness trade mission to Lima, Peru, scheduled for June 9-12, 2025. Current and potential U.S. exporters interested in participating must apply by March 12, 2025.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture will spearhead a trade mission to Bangkok, Thailand, from Feb. 3-6, 2025, to expand agricultural exports and strengthen trade ties in Southeast Asia. The mission includes more than 40 agribusinesses, trade organizations, and representatives from five state departments of agriculture.

Representatives from nearly 50 U.S. agribusinesses and trade groups and 14 state departments of agriculture will travel to Casablanca, Morocco, Dec. 2-5, as part of a U.S. Department of Agriculture trade mission to expand U.S. farm and food exports to Morocco and other West African markets.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service will host its first-ever trade mission to Bangkok, Thailand, Feb. 3-6, 2025. Current and potential U.S. exporters interested in participating should apply for consideration by Oct. 29.

Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs Alexis M. Taylor will lead a U.S. Department of Agriculture trade mission to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, Vietnam, Sept. 9-13, joined by representatives from 58 agribusinesses and organizations and nine state governments that represent the diversity of U.S. agriculture.

Under Secretary Alexis Taylor will lead a USDA trade mission to Casablanca, Morocco, Dec. 2-5, 2024. Current and potential U.S. exporters interested in participating should apply for consideration by Aug. 28.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service is accepting applications from current and potential U.S. exporters for a trade mission to Vietnam, Sept. 9-13, 2024. Participants will attend events in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, and will also have the opportunity to engage with visiting buyers from Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia and Thailand.

Secretary Vilsack announced next steps in USDA's efforts to bolster U.S. agricultural trade, including the planned trade missions for 2024 and the opening of a public comment period for the new Regional Agricultural Promotion Program.
