Vietnam: Oilseeds and Products Update

Post revises its forecast for soybean imports for marketing year (MY) 2018/19 (calendar year [CY] 2019) at 2 million metric tons (MMT), a significant increase from the MY2017/18 estimate of 1.75 MMT, as a result of strong feed demand in the livestock and aquaculture sectors and falling domestics soybean planting areas. The United States had the largest market share for soybeans due to competitive prices during the first six months of MY2017/18.
