MY2017/18 main-crop rice and corn planting is unlikely to be delayed due to favorable rainfall and a recovery in reservoir levels. Domestic corn prices remain under downward pressure despite the domestic corn absorption requirements under the new import regulations for feed wheat. Feed wheat imports have declined significantly as a result of the new regulations.
