Rwanda is a growing economy with a young population and expanding retail sector that offers opportunities for U.S. agricultural and food exports. FAS/Pretoria’s Sugar annual report provides information on the production, supply, and distribution of sugar in Eswatini for marketing year (MY) 2023/24, MY 2024/25, and MY 2025/26.

Eswatini sugar cane production in MY 2023/24 was affected by unfavorable climatic conditions and proliferation of the yellow aphid leaf. This affected cane production and quality resulting to the season ending earlier than normal.
