Bulgaria: Oilseeds and Products Market Update

Bulgarian farmers planted higher area under rapeseed in marketing year (MY) 2022/23 due to attractive and consistently increasing prices.

China: Updated Technical Guidelines for Cold Chain Foods

On January 30, 2022, China's State Council released two updated technical guidelines for preventing and controlling COVID-19 in cold-chain food.

Slovakia: Food Service - Hotel Restaurant Institutional

In particular, the EC has requested the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) provide scientific opinions for new animal welfare initiatives.
On February 16, 2022, the European Commission launched a four-week call for evidence on an upcoming report that will assess the rationale and legal feasibility of applying EU health and environmental standards to imported agricultural and agri-food products such as animal welfare standards, processes, and production methods.

China: GACC Updates Decree 248 Product List

The General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC) updated the list of products whose production facilities are required to register under Decree 248. U.S. exporters are encouraged to pay special attention to the addition of several kinds of frozen fruit, as well as preserved cranberries, and frozen potatoes and potato products.
