Despite the economic slowdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Post Dhaka has increased its cotton import forecast for marketing year (MY) 2021/22 to 7.6 million bales as a result of higher demand for locally spun yarn.
MY 2021/22 wheat production is expected to decrease by 22.2 percent to 70,000 MT, while consumption is projected to increase by 2.9 percent to 1.2 million MT.
Bangladesh’s feed industry is currently recovering from a difficult marketing year (MY) 2019/20 (i.e., July to June).
