Mexico’s potato production is estimated at 2.28 million metric tons (MMT) in marketing year (MY) 2025/26 (July 1 – June 30), four percent higher than the estimated MY 2024/25 production due to seasonal rains in several potato-producing states in mid-2024, easing drought conditions.

Production of blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries is forecast to increase in 2025, driven by export and domestic demand, adequate access to water, improved plant varieties, and modernized agricultural practices.

In market year (MY) 2024/25, total citrus production in Mexico is expected up by 4 percent versus the previous year, driven primarily by the increase in lime production.

The Brazilian orange crop for Marketing Year (MY) 2024/25 is forecast at 320 million 90-pound boxes (MBx) - standard reference, equivalent to 13 million metric tons (MMT), a decrease of 15 percent compared to the previous Post estimate for MY 2023/24 (378 million boxes or 15.42 MMT).
