Mexico’s potato production is estimated at 2.28 million metric tons (MMT) in marketing year (MY) 2025/26 (July 1 – June 30), four percent higher than the estimated MY 2024/25 production due to seasonal rains in several potato-producing states in mid-2024, easing drought conditions.

For year 2025, FAS Warsaw forecasts Poland’s total cherry production at 115,000 metric tons (MT), consisting of 80,000 sour cherries and 35,000 of sweet cherries.

Unexpected spring frost led to crop damage in citrus, fruit, and tree nut orchards throughout Turkiye. The Turkish government responded by providing financial compensation to farmers, hoping to stem their losses.
