The 2024 U.S. Agricultural Export Yearbook provides a statistical summary of U.S. agricultural commodity exports to the world during the 2024 calendar year.

Following an estimated decrease of Indonesian cotton consumption in 2024/25 of 1.795 million bales, cotton consumption in 2025/26 is forecast to remain on par at 1.8 million bales.

Indonesian cotton imports in 2023/24 are forecast to marginally increase by 5.9 percent to 1.8 million bales compared to 1.7 million bales in 2022/23 assuming spinners will use more inventory on hand before making new purchases.

No significant changes are made to the cotton supply and demand outlook. The 2023/24 cotton production forecast is unchanged at 6.5 million bales, total use is 10 million bales, and the import forecast remains 4.2 million bales.
