Australia: Oilseeds and Products Annual

Australia normally produces around four million MT of oilseed crops each year, with canola and cottonseed accounting for over 90 percent of the total.
In contrast to the huge drought-related losses in grain production, Ethiopia’s production of major oilseeds is expected to increase to nearly 790,000 metric tons in MY15/16 (Oct-Sep).
The Government of Ethiopia (GOE) and major relief food aid agencies are mobilizing resources to procure corn-soya blend (CSB) as part of the drought relief effort.
