The U.S. Census Bureau's export data tracks U.S. food and agricultural trade shipped directly to Poland. However, it does not measure the substantial levels of the U.S. agricultural trade to Poland routed through Western European ports of entry.

The Polish wood pellet industry is focused on growing exports to Italy, Germany, and Denmark, as well as increasing domestic demand among residential consumers.

On October 6th, 2014 Russia imposed a ban on re-export of plant products from Poland to Russia.
