Russia: Russian Genetic Technologies Accelerate

On March 2, 2020, Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Russian Government, signed Decree # 481 which stipulates conclusion of an Agreement between the Russian Government and the “Rosneft” Oil Company to expedite development of genetic technologies in Russia. The Agreement provides for establishment of a comprehensive research center which will serve as a foundation for conducting research in the field of genetic technologies and genome editing. The report contains an unofficial translation of the designated Degree.
