Morocco: Veterinary Drug MRLs Established

This report contains an unofficial translation of Order No. 2454-17, which on April 19, 2018, established Morocco’s maximum residue levels (MRLs) for veterinary drugs. According to the Order, Codex Alimentarius MRLs will apply in the absence of an established level herein while residues listed neither herein nor Codex Alimentarius will be considered non-compliant. This measure has not been notified to the WTO. Morocco’s imports of animal products total roughly $500 million, including up to $100 million from the United States.
