Lithuania: Poultry Meat and Egg Production in Lithuania

Lithuania is the largest poultry meat producer among Baltic States. In 2014 production of poultry meat amounted to 99,700 MT and was 4 percent higher than in 2013. It is expected that production will continue to grow in 2015 and 2016 because of favorable feed prices, continuing domestic demand and growing exports. In 2014 egg production in Lithuania amounted to 806 million pieces, 5 percent more than in the previous year.
