Italy is a leading European kiwifruit producer as well as a top global supplier. According to the latest figures from the Italian Institute of Statistics, Italy’s MY (Marketing Year) 2015/16 kiwifruit production is estimated at 598,559 Metric Tons (MT), an increase of 18 percent from 2014 thanks to favorable weather.
