India: Import Policy Update for Animal Products

On January 3, 2017, the Government of India (GOI) prohibited the import of various animal products classified in Chapter 41 and 43 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule including leather of reptiles and the fur of chinchilla, mink and fox. The regulation has not been notified to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
