  |   Attaché Report (GAIN)

This report provides general background information on Macau’s Food Import Regulations. It is the same as the 2019 report except for two additions: 1) Section III – Pesticide and Other Contaminants. Macau implemented its pesticide regulation on April 28, 2020. The additional section provides link to Macau’s pesticide maximum residue levels (MRL), and 2) Section V – Labeling Requirements. Macau’s government does not accept the labeling of “freeze by” date on meats. Chilled meats are not allowed to extend their shelf-life by being frozen.
