China: China Releases New Draft Standards on Maximum Residue Limits

On October 24, 2016, China informed the World Trade Organization about draft standards establishing 233 maximum residue limits (MRLs) in foods for 99 pesticides (including 2, 4-D-dimethylammonium), notified as SPS/N/CHN/1053. The deadline for comments is December 23, 2016. The proposed date of entry is yet to be determined. Comments can be sent to China’s SPS Enquiry Point at sps@aqsiq.gov.cn.
